New Phase of Cleaner Production Partnership Programme（2025-2027）
The Cleaner Production Partnership Programme (the Programme) was launched in 2008. Through funding projects and technology promotion activities, it has successfully encouraged Hong Kong-owned factories in Hong Kong (HK) and Guangdong Province (GD) to adopt cleaner production technologies and practices. Given the positive environmental benefits brought by the Programme, the Chief Executive announced in the 2024 Policy Address an additional allocation of HKD 100 million to extend the Programme until 2027, continuing to support the green transformation of HK-invested manufacturers and align with the national drive for high-quality development.
The new phase of the Programme focuses on promoting the practical application of newly developed cleaner production technologies, particularly those developed locally or through joint efforts between HK and GD. To enhance the understanding of clean production among Hong Kong-funded manufacturers and innovation and technology enterprises and to promote cooperation between the two sides. The Secretariat will also share experiences and cases of applying for of ET service providers. Details are as follows:
